Welcome to the Jemsek Specialty Clinic

A CAPITAL MOVE FOR THE JSC

After making it through one of the worst winters in recent memory to hit Washington, DC, the advent of spring reminds us once again that the rejuvenation of the seasons is eternal.

Indeed, it's hard to believe that it's been a year since the inaugural Into The Light Gala, held last March in Charlotte, North Carolina, and we are left humbled by the amazing transitions that have occurred for the Jemsek Specialty Clinic. We are forever grateful for your patience and prayers during our move, and we remain dedicated to providing the highest quality of healthcare in our new facility.

"Our clinic staff hit the ground running in Washington," said Dr. Joseph Jemsek. "Their work ethic and professionalism is inspiring and is totally reflective of their continued commitment our patients."

Renovations and upfits to the new 5,200-square-foot office space in Washington were completed on schedule, and the clinic is rapidly filling a quality staff of DC-based nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and front-office personnel. We are pleased to announce that our new office manager, Linda Brace, has tackled her new role with gusto and is moving the clinic forward without missing a beat, while our wonderful PAs Kim Fogarty and, soon to rejoin us, Anne Walch, are making a tremendously positive impact on delivering quality care for new patients.

With our DC phone line now fully operational, patients can schedule and confirm appointments by calling (202) 955-0003, or faxing (866) 457-0397. Clinic staff is currently scheduling appointments through July 23, for new patients and return visits for patients receiving oral-antibiotics. Previously scheduled appointments for patients receiving IV treatments remain unchanged. Dr. Jemsek continues to balance a schedule of working in Washington for a minimum of ten days at a stretch and spending four days in Charlotte with his family.

The clinic's new location in Washington, D.C., at 2440 M Street N.W., Suite 205, is located less than two miles from the White House and about a mile from the Georgetown neighborhood. The new facility is easily accessible from the Foggy Bottom Washington Metro station, and is less than a six-mile taxi drive from Reagan National Airport. For patients driving into the city, the clinic building has ample underground parking available.

The Jemsek Specialty Clinic looks forward to providing the best possible patient care in our new facility, and will continue work to minimize any inconvenience the transition has caused. We extend our sincere thanks for your cooperation and patience.
