I wanted to share my lyme journey and how amazing it’s been to have found my way back to feeling healthy again!
My health had slowly declined over the past several years. I started needing more and more sleep and not feeling rested. I was having some memory and concentration problems. I had back pain, muscle aches, and fatigue.I was tired all the time. I loved my work but needed to take naps at lunchtime rather than eat in order to get through the day.
Things slowly progressed with worsening fatigue, muscle aches, unrefreshing sleep after 12- 14 hrs, night sweats, and day sweats. I found it exhausting to take a shower and had to lay down afterward and rest for a half hour. I became heat intolerant. I would break out in a sweat from walking across the room. My concentration and memory problems worsened. I developed hand tremors. I was no longer able to work. I was severely depressed.
After months of testing, brain MRI, labwork, functional and memory/cognitive testing, and being evaluated by a neurologist, I was diagnosed with parkinson’s disease. She prescribed medication for this neurodegenerative disease. I declined to take medication that would affect my brain chemistry.
I went to a holistic practitioner who ordered a lyme panel which came back positive for lyme and babesia. She started treatment with an herbal protocol but it just made me feel worse even though it was only a few drops a day.
My wife knew that I needed something more than what this holistic practitioner could offer, and made an appointment at Jemsek Specialty Clinic.
After the first few weeks of treatment, I started having more energy. It’s been 8 months since starting treatment and I’m sleeping 7 hrs a night. I’m up at 6 am to garden and do chores. I am no longer in constant pain. Night sweats and day sweats are gone. Hand tremors are very slight. I no longer have memory/concentration problems . The depression is gone and I’m happier than I’ve been in years. I haven’t felt this good in over a decade. I am grateful to the Jemsek Specialty Clinic for getting me to this place. The difference in where I was a year ago compared to today is absolutely unbelievable. I can’t thank them enough.
